Like A Big Pizza Pie, That’s Amore!

Now that the chaos of finals week is finally over, I am happy to be blogging about my food adventures again. I began my winter break with a quick and delicious pizza dinner prepared by my friend, Natasha, and her boyfriend, Mike. I have always seen the fresh, ready-to-bake pizza dough at Trader Joe’s but I have never been daring enough to make my own pizza with it as I’ve heard both good and bad things about it. Natasha and Mike have used TJ’s pizza dough multiple times now and have had nothing but success with it, so I would definitely recommend trying it. Putting the ‘Fast’ in Breakfast: English Muffin Breakfast Pizzas (& Sushilicious Restaurant Review)

If you haven’t taken your midterms already, they’re probably just around the corner (I know I’m already stressing about my midterms this week!). It’s always important to have a healthy breakfast before taking a test, so I wanted to find a quick and nutritious meal to make before taking my midterms. What’s great about these English muffin pizzas is that you can easily store them in the freezer and quickly microwave in the morning (see my note in the recipe below).

Whole wheat English muffins provide whole grains, fiber, and protein, which are perfect for keeping you full for long periods of time (like during a test). A good rule of thumb to remember is that eating an entire English muffin provides you with the same amount of calories as half a bagel. (more…)
